INDONESIA TRADITIONAL KEBAYA - English Group Task

Hi guysss! This time I want to share a post about my task at the school, which in turn continues at home. I got this task from my english teacher at school and it is group work. This task contains a problem and we have to pour our opinion on it. okey lets check it out ....

INDONESIA TRADITIONAL KEBAYA

        In many parts of Indonesia, ther kebaya is seen as a strong nationalistic symbol and has been strongly supported as a symbol of identity for Indonesia women by prominent figures throughout the nation's history.

        Recently, this traditional dress has become recognized internationally as it is used as the uniform for flight attendance (stewardesses) on Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Garuda Indonesia.

        We think it's a good thing if Kebaya is go international. But, after they used our kebaya they don't have any rights to change our kebaya's true identity. For example, In Indonesia we used kebaya in a long dress but after go international don't change our kebaya's identity such as the shirt of kebaya is getting shorter and shorter. And we also think with kebaya is go international, our culture is getting famous top and become a source of Pride's Nation. And other countries can know that our country has an incridible things.

        We have ever read an article that said Aliqah Hsiholan went to her new premier film in Busan, South Korea wearing kebaya. And she said " I really like Kebaya. Yesterday, i wore Kebaya, I want to raise the name of the nation. This is a simple way that we can do to let the world knew Indonesia." And Cinta Laura has ever said " I have ever wear Anne Avantie's kebaya to a show in Hollywood. The own of the show ask me who is the designer, and i said it's from Indonesia's designer." So, that's an example way that Kebaya will go international with Indonesia's name.

        So, overall we totally agree that kebaya is going international but we hope kebaya's true identity is still there and not gonna fade. We hope world can know Indonesia more and know that Indonesia has a lot of culture and creativity.
